Expert speech therapy for children ages 2-10.
My name is LaVonda Lewis. I am a licensed speech language pathologist with a passion for helping children communicate in their daily life!
Expressing wants, needs, and feelings can be difficult, especially with communication deficits. I believe meeting children where they are with love and laughter can make it easier, but I can’t do it alone. Encouraging a family centered, child-led, approach to speech and feeding therapy ensures your child’s success!
Join with me today to create a fun and practical therapy experience where your child flourishes!
Every child and family is unique, and so is our approach. We focus on creating individualized therapy plans that address specific needs, whether related to Autism, feeding, or other developmental challenges. By meeting outside of the traditional therapy space, we are able to address specific needs in a variety of environments.
We utilize the latest evidence-based practices in speech therapy. This ensures that our methods are not only effective but also aligned with the best standards in the field. Our approach is centered around helping our clients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
At Love and Laughter (LNL) Speech Therapy we strive to help children build functional and meaningful communication in their daily life. We believe that each child should be treated with LOVE and LAUGHTER!
Communication can be challenging, but it doesn't have to be. It can be easy and fun!
We offer a range of speech therapy services for children, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for various speech, language, and feeding disorders including:
A comprehensive evaluation helps identify your child’s unique strengths and areas that may need support. This process is essential for making an accurate diagnosis and creating a customized treatment approach. It typically involves a combination of formal testing, informal assessments, direct observation by professionals, collaboration with caregivers, and the creation of a written report. Based on the findings, therapy goals tailored to your child’s specific needs will be developed to guide their treatment.
Following the evaluation, a therapy schedule will be arranged. Sessions will be held in an agreed upon environment (pre-school, daycare, home, park), where your child will engage with a therapist using play-based methods to target their goals. Parental involvement is both encouraged and valued, with an emphasis on applying the techniques and strategies from therapy into everyday routines.
